Ph. D. candidate should give the following documents to the academic supervisor of the department.

1. Six copies of the written Ph. D. thesis
    
2. Passing translation exam of another language different to English or Spanish
    
3. Diplomas of advanced courses.Constancia de haber aprobado los cursos avanzados
    
4. PDF of published paper or papers
    
5. No debt of any kind to Cinvestav's library
    

The last step before earning the Ph. D. degree is to defend the thesis before the thesis advisory committee.
